Once in a great while a young guitarist captures the attention of music lovers early in his career and manages to sustain this interest as he matures creatively and sheds the ‘prodigy’ label. Joe Robinson is one of those rare talents. Plus, he’s just a really nice guy!
Joe made his Guitar Masters debut to a sold out crowd last year and proved why many call him one of the world’s greatest guitar players.
Australian guitar player and multi-instrumentalist Joe Robinson already has a storied musical history. From his roots in the small bush town of Temagog, Robinson has gone on to win Australia’s Got Talent, tour with the world renowned Tommy Emmanuel, and be named one of Australia’s 50 Best Guitarists by Australian Guitar Magazine.
Now living in Nashville, TN, he is adding to his already impressive discography with his new EP Gemini, Vol. 2. With the strength of his previous work – Birdseed, Time Jumpin’, Let Me Introduce You, Toe Jam EP, and Gemini Vol. 1 – it was clear that his future projects would be notable, but his latest release, Gemini Vol.2, proves that this artist’s talent truly has no limits.
It is his driving guitar – a mix of blues, rock, jazz, and R&B all his own – that ties the new EP to his previous releases. Robinson played every instrument on the self-produced masterpiece, sometimes lending a level of intimacy through his vocals that captures the listener and draws him in.
