John Pizzarelli is the real thing — a world-class jazz guitarist, vocalist, and bandleader whose roots trace directly to the golden age of American music.
His latest project, Dear Mr. Bennett, is a heartfelt tribute to the great Tony Bennett — released in 2026 to coincide with Bennett’s centennial year. The connection goes deep: Pizzarelli’s father, guitar legend Bucky Pizzarelli, was a longtime Bennett sideman. John himself performed alongside Bennett, and the two shared a genuine mutual respect. Bennett even sketched Pizzarelli’s portrait at a New York nightclub — artwork that now graces the album cover.
On stage, the John Pizzarelli Trio — with bassist Mike Karn and pianist Isaiah J. Thompson — performs this classic material with swing, elegance, and real feeling. Jazz, pop, and balladry woven together by three musicians who know exactly what they’re doing.
This is a rare opportunity to experience this music up close, in an intimate Guitar Masters setting.
